From Minakata Kumagusu Museum to Tenjizaki

Minakata Kumagusu was a botanist, folklorist, and envirnomentalist as well doing his main work as a scientist studying mosses and funguses. He left a wealth of materials from his research.
A new modern approach with interactive exhibits as well at Kumagusu's study area dating from the Meiji era await visitors to Tanabe's newest museum, Minakata Kumagusu Archives.

Tenjinzaki (Cape Tenjin) is located
within the city limits of Tanabe City
on the northern boundary along the ocean. It is the first place in Japan to establish a National Trust modeled after the British National Trust movement.
